These tiny stars are the perfect finishing touch for so many projects! Made with worsted weight yarn and an H hook, they measure 1.75″ across, though you can vary the size by using different sizes of complementary sized yarn and hooks.
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Row 1: MC (magic circle), ch2 (counts as sc), 4 sc in circle, join to beginning ch. (5)
Row 2: Make the first point of your star into the same stitch as your join. Ch 1, dc, ch 2, dc, ch 1, sl st all into the same stitch.
Do not sl st to the next stitch. Repeat *ch 1, dc, ch 2, dc, ch 1, sl st* into each stitch around to make 5 points.
Finish off and sew in ends to leave as is, or leave a long finishing tail to sew onto another item. That’s it – a 2 row process for a simple star to adorn just about any project!
